RSR To Start From The Back Tomorrow With A New Engine

DAYTONA, FL – After experiencing a misfire during both practice sessions this weekend, the decision was made to replace the engine in the #61 Simply Vegas Audi RS 3 LMS TCR. This meant the team had to miss qualifying and will start from the rear of the field.

Fortunately, they will have one more practice session tomorrow morning to run some installation laps before subjecting the new engine to a 4-hour endurance race.

The Road Shagger crew remains confident in their chances, after strong showings by both drivers at The Roar. RSR fans may also remember that Ernstone fell back to 17th briefly last year at Daytona before launching an epic charge to the lead of the race. Morley did kinda alright during his stint too…

#TBT to 2020

The BMW Endurance Challenge goes green tomorrow (Fri Jan 29) at 1:30 PM ET on NBC’s TrackPass streaming service.
