Back In Blue

WATKINS GLEN, NY – Road Shagger Racing will at long last debut their second generation Audi RS 3 TCR car and will do so with a return to their classic dark blue livery. The team tested the new machine at Watkins a few weeks ago and are bullish on their chances in the upcoming race; with both Gavin Ernstone and Jon Morley liking what they felt from the new car.

“It feels a lot more nimble on corner entry,” said Morley. “But it also still has the same great stability the old car had through the fast stuff. All in all, it seems like a pretty sharp weapon.”

Morley set the TCR race lap record at Watkins in 2021 and also had the fastest race lap in 2022, making it no mystery as to why the team chose Watkins as the first stop on their new part-time schedule. Currently, no other races have been set in stone beyond this weekend, but the team hopes to do one or two more this year.

The Sahlens 120 At The Glen can be watched live on Peacock and is most easily found by searching the term “Pilot Challenge” within the Peacock app. The race starts at 3:45 PM ET on Saturday, June 24th.
